Mr. Reyes joined LCI in 2025 with a background in Franciscan geology, geologic mapping, and metamorphic petrology. His graduate thesis developed a regional geologic map for one of the uppermost Franciscan units (Skaggs Springs Schist). This involved collecting lineation and mélange relationship data to understand the obliquity of subduction and mélange mixing mechanisms during Franciscan subduction.
