Jing Ci Neo
Staff Seismologist
Dr. Neo joined LCI in 2025 with a background in earthquake seismology specializing in earthquake source characterization and seismic data analysis. Her graduate research focused on developing novel methods to characterize earthquake source processes. This included quantifying aftershock zone areas of large earthquakes in California, imaging the rupture of the 2015 Gorkha, Nepal earthquake, and analyzing the high-frequency radiation of seismic energy from both tectonic and induced earthquakes. At LCI, Dr. Neo’s primary responsibilities include probabilistic and deterministic seismic hazard analysis, and time history development.
