Francesca Skene, MS
Staff Geologist
– Engineering geology
– Landslide Investigations
– Geomorphology
Ms. Skene joined LCI in 2026 with a background in geomorphology, landslide hazards, physical modeling, and engineering geology. Her graduate thesis included investigating how hydrological features of rainstorms effect debris-flow initiation in the Intermountain West. Her work utilizes field observations from debris-flow monitoring stations and develops a physics-based model to test the impact of various storm direction and speed scenarios on debris-flow magnitude and velocity. At LCI, Francesca has worked on projects incorporating geologic mapping, seismology, and engineering geology.
Key Projects:
– PG&E Undergrounding
