Mr. Ortiz joined LCI in 2013 and founded the Sacramento office in 2018. Rick conducts detailed geologic investigations focused on engineering geology and geologic hazard evaluations for a variety of commercial, municipal, state, and federally funded projects. He is experienced in complex field project management, detailed geologic and geomorphic mapping, aerial photograph interpretation, continuous core logging, subsurface geotechnical testing and sampling, paleoseismic trenching, borehole instrument and telemetry system installation, and groundwater sampling and testing.
