Andrew Seifried
Principal Engineer
– Seismic hazard and risk assessment
– Site response analysis
– Time history selection and modification
– Structural response assessment
Dr. Seifried joined LCI in 2013 and has expertise in seismic hazard analysis for risk applications including the calculation of probabilistic ground motions, site response analysis, development of time histories for dynamic analysis, and risk assessment. Prior to joining LCI, Andy consulted as a structural engineer, and completed his graduate studies in structural engineering and geomechanics. Dr. Seifried has applied this expertise to nuclear power plants, tall buildings, dams, tunnels, and more throughout the world.
Key Projects:
– Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis for 62 nuclear power plants in the central and eastern United States, EPRI
– Oconee Nuclear Station Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis, Oconee Nuclear Station SPRA, Seneca, SC
– Lower Columbia River Dams, Washington/Oregon Border, USACE, Risk Management Center, Lakewood, CO
– Oroville Comprehensive Needs Assessment, California Department of Water Resources
– Time history development (spectral matching) for Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA
