Dr. Syms joined LCI in 2011 and leads our Augusta, Georgia office. Frank has over 30 years of experience in engineering geology/geotechnical engineering. He has been extensively involved in geologic and seismic studies related to site selection, hazard evaluation, design and construction of nuclear structures, support facilities and infrastructure including investigations to support licensing of new power reactors and construction activities. Recently he worked closely with the California Department of Water Resources to support the emergency recovery efforts for the Oroville Dam Spillway as well as managing the probabilistic seismic hazard updates for the US Department of Energy Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee and Savannah River Site in South Carolina.
