Arash Zandieh
Principal Engineer
– Site-specific seismic hazard analysis
– Ground motion characterization
– Site response analysis
– Liquefaction hazard assessment
– Statistical analysis
Dr. Zandieh joined LCI in 2014 and has expertise in topics related to seismic hazard analysis, earthquake engineering, engineering seismology, geotechnical and structural engineering, and statistical analysis.
His professional consulting experience includes numerous probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, site response analysis, ground-motion characterization studies, soil-structure interaction analysis, fault displacement hazard analysis, structural analysis, seismic fragility evaluation, and adaptive problem solving. His graduate work at The University of Memphis focused on ground motions in the Central and Eastern United States (CEUS). Arash has developed Ground Motion Prediction Equations (GMPEs) for CEUS and studied the seismic path and site effects in the CEUS. His work has been used in the USGS national seismic hazard maps and the NGA-East project.
