Ian McGregor
Senior Staff Geologist
– Quaternary geology
– Structural geology
– Seismic interpretation
– Tectonic geomorphology
– Engineering geology
Mr. McGregor joined LCI in 2019 with a background in geologic field mapping, structural geologic modeling, seismic interpretation, and Quaternary
geochronology. His graduate thesis developed a series of area balanced cross sections to estimate the geometry and slip rate of faults responsible for the deformation observed at the surface in the Santa Maria basin. At LCI, Ian has worked on a variety of projects incorporating geologic mapping, landslide hazard assessment, and engineering geology.
Key Projects:
– Geologic Investigations for Altamont Landfill Resource Recovery Facility
– Geomorphic Evaluation near Mile Post 230, CA Aqueduct, California Department of Water Resources
– CEC Seismic Risk Analysis for Gas Storage Wells, CA
– San Francisco Bay Area Seismic Source Model, Pacific Gas and Electric Company
– Landslide Hazard and Seismic Hazard Analysis for the Central Utah Aqueduct, Provo, Utah
