Nesrin Yenihayat
Senior Staff Seismologist
– Earthquake engineering and seismology
– Time history development
– Ground motion data processing
– Seismic hazard and risk assessment
Dr. Yenihayat is a staff seismologist with experience in earthquake engineering, stochastic ground motion simulation, seismic hazard assessment, earthquake risk and loss estimation, structural health monitoring of monuments, and investigation of historical earthquakes. She joined LCI in 2022 with a background in stochastic ground motions simulation and development of source, site and path parameters for historical Istanbul earthquakes. Nesrin’s work at LCI features development of spectrally matched time histories for dynamic analysis, seismic hazard analysis, earthquake data processing, and waveform digitization.
Key Projects:
– Digitized Waveforms of the 1975 Oroville Earthquake Sequence for California Department of Water Resources (DWR)
– Seismic Hazard Analyses and Time History Development for Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Dams
– Development of Time Histories for the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Salt Lake City, Utah
– Deterministic Seismic Hazard Analysis and Time History Development for Lake Chelan Dam, Washington
