Dr. Chase joined LCI in 2023 with a background in earthquake engineering, structural response and risk assessment, ground motion characterization, and earthquake scenario development. His previous professional work focused on earthquake scenario development across the United States as well as Central and South America. Dr. Chase graduated with his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he examined the impact of subduction, crustal, and induced ground motions on residential buildings.
