Ms. Dektar joined LCI in 2025 with a background in engineering geology, metamorphic petrology, and structural geology. She previously worked on federally owned dams and levees for active construction and investigative programs, including mapping of dam spillway foundations. She has professional experience with geotechnical and environmental drilling programs. Her graduate thesis work focused on geochronology and microstructural analysis of shear zones in the ultrahigh pressure terranes of the Western Gneiss Region, Norway.
