Dr. Thomas joined LCI in 2016 and has more than 25 years of experience in earthquake engineering including performing probabilistic seismic hazard analyses, development of seismic criteria and design ground motions, and fault displacement studies. Dr. Thomas led the 2010 PEER PSHA Code Verification Project to verify industry PSHA codes (Thomas et al., 2010). She has performed seismic hazard assessments for strong ground shaking, fault displacement and liquefaction, and developed site-specific design ground motions for numerous sites around the United Stated and worldwide including moderate and high hazard dams for Federal, state, and local agencies and power and mining companies, high-rise structures in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City, schools and hospitals in California, and various LNG plants.
